Clay L Hoes
I am a passionate energy analyst and entreprenneur. I believe that there are less capital intensive ways to lower energy consumption than to spend huge amounts of taxpayers money on large projects. I think that one way is to think small - container homes. They are configurable, inexpensive, strong, recycled and recyclable. They can be used by everyone - starting home buyers, secondary home and cabin buyers, high density residential developers, and retirees downsizing.
I have spent most of my life studying energy. First, I double majored in geology and economics at Hobart College. I then completed a Masters of Science in Mineral and Energy Economics at the Colorado School of Mines. I put my study to practical use by working as a petroleum development geologist throughout the Rocky Mountains. The rest of my career has been spent traveling domestically and internationally to oil and gas fields, coal mines, and uranium deposits. I have studied the supply and demand of each of these commodities. As commodity prices soared and political pressures mounted, I began my pursuit of alternative energy.
