Gallery of Container Homes and Structures.
Here is Benjamin Garcia Saxe's "Container of Hope" slide show.

Container Home Schematics
Here is the gallery of containers coming together from one container to two containers and finally with a hallway. The interior wall cutouts become the hallway roof.
This design could go either up or sideways to add a second floor and increase the first floor square footage.

Exterior of Container of Hope
The owner and architect decided to not panel the sides and keep the iconiclastic look of the shipping container.
As can be seen from the photos, the containers are mounted on cement columns. The containers can be mounted on cement columns, cement pads or classic block and cement foundations.

Interior of Container of Hope
The interior has clean lines. What is surprising about the house is that it was constructed for $40,000 and is located 20 minutes from the city of San Jose, Costa Rica. The total cost includes everything but the appliances, wiring, plumbing and land.
.
According to the architect, the final cost of the house is lower than the cost of social housing provided for the poor in Costa Rica.
